Feedback from the unit supplier reminds you that frequency converters are relatively precise electronic instruments, and there are many limitations on their operating conditions in practical applications. Due to the fact that many domestic customers, except for a few with dedicated machine rooms, install frequency converters directly on industrial sites to reduce costs. The work site is generally dusty, with high temperatures, and in the south, there is also a problem of high humidity. For the cable industry, there are metal dust, corrosive gases and dust in industries such as ceramics and printing, and explosion-proof requirements in coal mines and other places.
、 Do not install the frequency converter on equipment with vibration, as the main circuit connection screws inside the frequency converter are prone to loosening, and many frequency converters are damaged due to this reason.
、 Wiring issue: It is best to connect an air switch to the input end of the frequency converter to protect the current value from being too large, in order to prevent it from burning out too severely in the event of a short circuit. The 'N' terminal must not be grounded. Try not to keep the control line too long. Because this makes the control board susceptible to electromagnetic interference and can cause misoperation, as well as damage to the control board, it is best to use shielded wires for lengths exceeding 2 meters. Do not install high current and frequently operated contactors next to the frequency converter, as they can cause significant interference and often cause the frequency converter to malfunction (displaying various faults).
、 It is best not to rely on the braking of the frequency converter itself for frequent emergency parking, but to add a braking unit or use mechanical braking. Otherwise, the frequency converter is often impacted by the back electromotive force of the motor, and the failure rate will be greatly increased.
、 If the frequency converter frequently operates at low speeds below 15Hz, an additional cooling fan should be added to the motor!
、 Dust and moisture are the most deadly killers of frequency converters. It is best to install the frequency converter in an air-conditioned room or in an electrical cabinet with a dust filter, and regularly clean the dust on the circuit board and radiator; It is best to blow the circuit board with a hair dryer before powering on a frequency converter that has been shut down for a period of time.
、 When the cooling fan of the frequency converter is broken, it will issue overheating protection. If the fan makes noise, it should be replaced.
、 Some factories use generators for power generation, but the voltage is unstable and the frequency converter is often damaged. Installing voltage stabilization or overvoltage protection devices on the generator has a good effect.
、 Lightning protection is also important. Although it rarely occurs, when the frequency converter is struck by lightning, it will suffer severe damage. The frequency converter with constant pressure water supply is most susceptible to lightning strikes because it has a lightning pipe extending towards the sky.
